Okay, my magical name right now is Em. I don’t use it “officially” online or anyplace but during ritual.

My SCA name is Kiersten. That is the name that is close to my real name, Kristin, but I just like how it sounds. The name doesn’t sound quite as harsh to my ears. Does that make sense? Keyeeersten as opposted to Krrrissttttin. (Okay, so maybe I’m weird…)

Now, how did I get my magical name? Well, I honestly don’t remember completely anymore. I believe I was meditating one night, and the name just came into my mind. Em is short for something longer, but I am uncomfortable with sharing the entire name. It looks like I am one of the few who feels that way, but that is the way I feel. Since everyone is so accepting in this group, I don’t feel that I should be ashamed of NOT releasing my entire name.

I don't know why, but I feel that my magical name should be not be spoken except in ritual, and since I am a solitary wiccan, then only I and the Goddess hears my name. It has never been written any where (except in sand / dirt) and never will be. After reading other's collabs, I see that I am alone in this.

Perhaps it is because I must be a closet pagan...
Perhaps I just "feel" that it must be kept secret.
Perhaps I just read too many books where names have power.

Either way, it is safe to say
