4 November 1999

After a HPT and
a visit to my doctor
It seems
I am pregnant again!

And I am scared.
My husband leaves for Kosovo next month.
I don't know if I can survive this alone.
Especially if I lose this one too.

17 Nov 1999

Well, I'm 6 and 1/2 weeks.
I saw a heartbeat today!!!
I've got a long way to go...
My next doctor appointment is 13 Dec.

Please let everything be okay!
I am so scared...

Baby at 12 weeks!

Well, We've made it to 13 weeks!!
All seems well.
My dear husband is in Kosovo already.
Although I miss him terribly,
I must admit the stress went with him!! :)
I'm still scared,
But I just know that in July 2000,
We are gonna bring home a healthy happy baby!
(I pray it to be so)

14 February 2000

Valentine's Day.
I'm at 19 weeks!!
Almost halfway there!
Everything seems fine, so far.
And we are so happy!! :)
Baby is shy and has managed to hide
his or her sex from us....
All I want is a healthy baby!
So, if baby wants to be a surprise,
So be it!

1 March 2000

21 Weeks!
Over half way there!!!
Yippee!!
My husband got to come with me,
And guess what, we found out the sex!!

I've made it to the Third Trimester!
The chances of our son's survival if born now
is about 90%!!!
Yippee!!
My Doctor said everything is looking great!
I am soooo happy!
I cannot wait to hold little Kevin Loric in my arms.

A Premature Labor scare....

Day after Easter, I went to the hospital,
and the doctors felt I was in premature labor.
They gave me an IV to stop contractions,
and I got the two shots to help mature my baby's lungs.
Fortunately, nothing happened,
and after 2 weeks, they sent me back home.

There is some good news to all this!
The wonderful wives in my FSG and the chaplains,
and two wonderful Tricare liasons,
managed to get my husband back home to take care of me.
After all, I am on bed rest, and I didn't want to
rely on anyone but family to take care of me.
I am just too independent.
Having my husband around is the only way to
make truly certain I am resting enough!

Thank you to all that made it possible for
my husband to come home from Kosovo.

19 May 2000

Well, we've made it to 33 weeks!
Michael went with me to the doctor on Wednesday,
and doc said that things are looking good!
My cervix is still closed and it hasn't gotten any shorter.
Little Kevin is doing great!!
I don't have to go back to the doct
now, till 30 May!
Unless there is a problem of course...
We've almost made it!
Hang in there Kevin!
Your Mommy and Daddy love you!!!

We've made it to 34 weeks,
in fact, in two days,
it will be 35 weeks!!

The doctor's appointment today was great!!
Basically, we are out of the danger zone.
Baby would be fine if born
now, but 8 June 2000 would be best.
After that, there should not be
any complications. Little Kevin would be
considered basically full-term.
I stop taking the medication for stopping
contractions on this day and
I am officially off bed rest too!! Yippee!!!

(Oh, the medication, by the way,
is only FDA approved for HORSES in
the United States... *giggle*
Don't worry, it has been approved here
in Germany, but I doubt that I could get
it from a military pharmacy!)

The approximation of his weight is around
6 pounds already...
A BIG kid!
Ouch! But looking healthy and fine.
I've gained about 25 pounds and
have a definite tummy now..
No, I don't plan on posting any pictures...
Sorry!

Wow!
36 weeks! :)
Well, I stopped taking my contrax meds today.
It has become a waiting game....
Either something will happen now,
or it won't...
Kevin, we are ready for ya,
as soon as you are ready to come out!!

Doc appointment went well...
well, mostly...
THIS KID IS WEIGHING APPROXIMATELY 8 pounds ALREADY!
help!!!
Doc said he is ready to come any time,
BUT
They won't induce labor...
How big is this kid gonna be before I go into labor?!?!?
*sigh*
Well, at least he is healthy...
Time to start praying for an EARLY birth!!!
And trying those at home labor starters....

I'm hopin for the full moon...
They say babies like to come on full moons!!
Come on, Kevin, ya can do it!!!

Well, tonight's the full moon.
I don't feel any different,
no new contrax or anything...
It's still early, but doesn't look
like this full moon is gonna do the trick.
*sad sigh*
Come on Kevin!!
It's time to come out already!!!

Well, Saturday was my first false alarm
The contractions were closer (5 minutes apart)
and painful, but after going to the
hospital, I found out
I'm STILL not dilating!!!!
*sigh*
This kid is NEVER gonna come out!!!

23 June 2000

Well, my neighbors must think I'm nuts
I turned up the stereo this week,
and tried DANCING!!!
Thank GOODNESS no one saw me...
but it was worth a try....
As you can tell, still nothing...
Please Kevin!!

I would be going to the hospital
because my water finally broke!
